Dylan's Autism Brain Balance

Donation protected
For parents, watching their child struggle with autism can be devastating. Louie and Megan Stephens have experienced the effects first-hand. Their son, Dylan, began exhibiting traits of autism as an infant. Upon diagnosis they learned Dylan suffered from Functional Disconnection, a type of autism in which the brain is always out of sync.

Information passes through a properly functioning brain at lightning speed. In a child suffering from Functional Disconnection the information doesn’t connect, leading to considerable developmental delays. Areas like speech development, cognitive growth, and a general understanding of the world around them occur slowly, if at all. Functional Disconnection results in several learning, behavioral, and social difficulties. Fortunately, strides are being made.

The Brain Balance Achievement Center in Vernon Hills, IL offers a holistic program that has been proven to achieve measurable changes in brain functionality. To improve Dylan’s brain function and perhaps even heal his autism, Louie and Megan want to take Dylan to the center.

For two-to-three days a week for 9 months, the staff at Brain Balance will lead Dylan through a cutting-edge program consisting of sensory motor and neuro-academic activities to correct the underlying imbalance in his brain. The structured combination of program elements will help to establish proper brain function, leading to a reduction or elimination of his screaming fits, delayed language skills, and overall social disconnect.

By taking part in the program, Dylan’s symptoms will markedly diminish so that he can begin to function in the real world. Depending on how Dylan responds to the treatment, it’s possible the program will completely correct his brain abnormality – all of Dylan’s symptoms of autism will disappear.

Our goal is raise the funds necessary to enable the Stephens to take Dylan to the Brain Balance Achievement Center. The hope is to enroll him in March so he can begin therapeutic sessions in April.

Your generosity will help Dylan to erase the symptoms of autism so he can lead an active, normal, healthy life. Every little bit helps.

Thank you.
