Ride For Tessa

Last June, we organized a benefit for the family of our good friend Guido after his quick passing. We wanted to continue the tradition and benefit another local Door County family.
Tessa Erickson is currently a freshman at Gibraltar High School. She was born and raised in Sister Bay, Wi. Daughter of Debra Anderson and Linden Erickson, she also has two older brothers; Isaiah and Eli Erickson. Some of her activities include volleyball, basketball, and horseback riding. She is a sweet, funny girl who is a friend to all.
This past May, a tumor was found on Tessa's abdomen. She and her family, only recently received a detailed diagnosis. Tessa has what the doctors are calling an "Ewings like" soft tissue sarcoma. It's very rare and doesn't really have its own name. It tends to be aggressive and they are taking a strong approach. Tessa has 14 rounds of chemo to go through, each two weeks apart. She will also have to go through radiation and surgery at some point.
We plan to ride this June 28th (Sunday) in honor of this beautiful young lady.  Registration will start at 10am at the Mink River Basin in Ellison Bay. Registration fee will be $15 per motorbike/car and $5 per extra person riding. After touring most of the peninsula and a few of its great taverns, we will end at Husby's in Sister Bay where there will be prizes and 50/50 drawing. We thank you for helping us support Tessa and her family through this hard time. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
