Bekah's YWAM adventure!

Hey everyone!
As many of you know, I have made the recent decision to follow the Lord's call to go and do ministry overseas through what is called YWAM, or Youth With A Mission. I had heard of the organization many times before this year, but there was a sudden, burning desire inside of me to do it in the Spring semester of 2016. YWAM is an organization that takes up training students, families, musicians, and artists to go out into the world and apply what they have learned through intensive training, and how to apply their gifts that the Lord has given them. YWAM has many different ministries, but the majority of them have a training session for three months and an outreach for two and a half months. The outreach takes place in a different country, and is determined by prayer and the type of DTS that one is a part of. My specific Discipleship Training School is called Fire and Fragrance.
"As Fire and Fragrance our desire is to see a whole generation walking in an unapologetic fire for the presence of God, worship, and intercession, and from this place of personal intimacy with Jesus, become the very fragrance of Christ to the lost. The Fire and Fragrance DTS is designed to raise up students who prioritize the presence of God as the source of everything they do and launch them into the nations to partner with and plant communities that carry this same value. We believe that through intimate communion and whole-hearted obedience we will see the power of God displayed and have effective outreaches with long-lasting fruit! Imagine communities all over the world – closed countries, slums, refugee camps, orphanages, urban centers, university campuses and remote villages – walking in a dynamic marriage of prayer and missions. Right now, I am trying to raise money to purchase a plane ticket for Kona, HI, and to cover the cost of this amazing opportunity of ministry. Please help me reach my goal of raising $3500, and please keep YWAM in your prayers as we all prepare for this adventure!

because the Lord has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor;
he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound".
