MAKE art studio Ann Arbor

Contribute to the cause of a locally owned & operated children's art studio focused on cultivating creative thinking and learning through making with our hands.  My name is Khadijah and I have owned Make Art Studio for almost 4 glorious years.  MAKE is a dream of mine to reach children and youth to increase creative thinking as a tool for their future skill set in any career.  I have worked with hundreds of local students in the Ann Arbor/Detroit area and truly do this for the love of making art and cultivating that in children.  We also strive to incorporate business skills, project managment and more to get students thinking in real world art as a career terms.  We have been blessed with cool locations around Ann Arbor.  However finding the right fit for location has been troublesome as we do make messes, we do make noise, and we are CHILDREN!   We are now in a position that we need to secure a permanent location that can accommodate our communities needs.  So what's next for Make Art Studio? We are looking to open up  permanent studio at a convenient Ann Arbor location that will allow us to offer even more fun, arts-based classes and events to all ages.

The goal is to reach a wider demographic and continue to benefit our local communities through art. My studio is solely operated and funded by myself and your donation will provide us the means to obtain a new space, obtain an in house computer for design work with teens, obtain more sensory playbased toys and options for early childhood classes/imaginary games, stock the new space with the supplies and equipment needed for a dynamic art programs. Join us in our mission to better serve the children of our community through the teaching and making of art!  I have tried for years to keep my mission going and I can't tell you how grateful I would be for any help to keep the mission of making and creative thinking going!

For every $10 donation you will receive a MAKE sticker in the mail.

For every $20 donation your name will be added to our MAKE mural wall we will showcase in our new digs.

For every $50 donation we will send you a one of a kind MAKES t-shirt design.

For every $100 donor we will offer 2 free Saturday Make & Take classes or the option to have a customized piece of children's art work donated for this cause.

For every $500 donation you will be invited to our Swag Filled donors opening soiree that will be catered and celebrated to see the space first.  In addition every $500 donor will receive an art filled maker bag to keep or gift to someone special.
