Climb Kilimanjaro for Rafiki Mwema

Donation protected

I'm Danielle Colley and I want to do something that makes a difference.

Rafiki Mwema  is a safe house for little girls who are the victims of terrible sexual crimes in Kenya.

I fell in love with the girls and the people who run Rafiki Mwema after interviewing them for a story for The Australian Women's Weekly, and I immediately sponsored Baby *Joy. That's her in the picture.

Joy is one year younger than my own daughter, Kiki, and although I can't make what happened to her go away, I can try to help her have a better life moving forward.

I want to climb Kiliminjaro in my 40th year on this planet to raise money for all the children at Rafiki, but also to show my Joy that someone wants to do something big for her to show her that she is special and worthy. And when I've climbed that big ass mountain, I'm going to go to the Rafiki Mwema farm and hold Joy in my arms and croon love in her little ear.

I need to raise $2000 by January 2017 to be eligible to do the climb, and I will pay all of my own travels and expense. The entire amount raised will go to these special little girls and the wonderful people who heal them, help them, love them and care for them.

This journey will not only be life changing for me, but also the people I raise money for. I'm pumped!
