Caroline Nosal Memorial Fund
I am Tim Smith the Store Director at Metro Market in Madison, WI. Caroline Nosal was an employee at our Metro Market location. Sadly, Caroline was killed while leaving work on February 2, 2016.
Caroline worked for our company in the produce department for the last 3 years, working at Pick 'n Save in Stoughton and Fort Atkinson, and most recently Metro Market in Madison.
Caroline will be remembered fondly by our Roundys family for her positive attitude, infectious smile, and team spirit. Caroline will be loved and missed by every employee that she worked with.
With her mother's blessing, we have decided to start a Go Fund me campaign to help with the costs associated with the funeral, and any additional assistance the family may need.
We appreciate your thoughts and prayers for Caroline as well as her friends and family.
Thank you for any donation that you can provide.
.
We have chosen to change our fundraising goal to $24,000 to celebrate 24 years of life.
In response to to Kevin Belt. Kevin, first let me thank you for your concern for our situation. The Roundy's corporation has been more than generous, organizing this fundraiser and donating to it. Metro Mart will be providing snacks during the wake today. They are also donating all the food for the luncheon that will be held after the Requiem Mass which starts at 11AM Monday at St. Albert the Great's church in Sun Prairie. This will be held in the church's gathering space. I am very grateful to Tim Smith and all the other people at Metro Mart.
We will be having a donation box at the store for those interested in donating that way. Thank you so much for all of the support this far. We well be having a memorial set up at the store for customers to leave comments as well.
To Roundy's and Store Manager Smith, Would it not be more appropriate to pay for all costs associated with Caroline's death? She had just left work and was murdered by a co-worker. Asking the public to fund her funeral is extremely poor form. After selling Roundy's to Kroger for nearly $200 million recently I think you can take care of Caroline and her family's costs. Regardless of the potential of a civil lawsuit the right thing to do is take care of it yourself.
"In the arms of the angel fly away from here from this dark cold hotel room and the endlessness that you fear you are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie you're in the arms of the angel may you find some comfort here you're in the arms of the angel may you find some comfort here" Angel - Sarah McLachlan
Thank you to Metro Market for setting up Go Fund Me as so many want to do something be it kind words, cards or donating to a Memorial. There should never be advice on how someone else see's fit to use this money or to suggest to Metro to do more. The focus is a very beautiful spirit has left this Earth and from tragedy we pray that something positive would come from this for no death should be in vain. I applaud the Nosal's on the TV interview last evening and hope that you are successful in pushing better gun purchasing regulations forward. It's a common sense issue. Prayers to you in all your days ahead.
I hope the family will set up a scholarship in her name or donates the money raised to an awesome cause
I can only hope that no one else has to go through what Caroline went through. I would have suggested that she go to the police but there is no way they could have protected her. I had a similar situation and I knew the best thing to do was to get away. I had to get a new job. I immediately took a two week vacation to look for one. I told my employer there was no way that they could protect me. They would be lucky if he didnt hurt them. If I stayed, some other employee will let him in. He threatened me at work. That is outrageous. I found a new job in that two weeks and left no information for anyone. If you or anyone you know is in this situation, make sure they get away safely. Just realize that you have to take care of you. It is really unfair but better that the alternative.
Condolences to Dr. Nosal and family
Love to the Nosal family and to all those who have expressed their feelings here.
I worked with Caroline at the Fort Atkinson store. Caroline was a very sweet girl fun to work with, she will be missed.
Keeping Caroline's family and the Roundys family in our thoughts and prayers during such a heartbreaking time.
Caroline will be missed by everyone who ever encountered her. Please know that you are in our thoughts. Sending our love.
Miss Caroline I will miss you dearly. My deepest sympathy to her family. The world has lost a very wonderful spirit.
I will forever miss you, Caroline. I am having a hard time wrapping my head around this. You and I haven't seen each other since Dalton's memorial because I moved to MN, but I will never forget all of the fun times we had together! I will never forget you, Carrie. Greet Dalton for me. Love you always.
Keeping Caroline's family and the Metro Market family in our thoughts and prayers during such a heartbreaking time. May God wrap his arms around each of you and help all of you through this tragedy.
I had the joy of babysitting Caroline when she was my neighbor decades ago. She was, is, and remains a beautiful, talented person. I am sick over this (as I know all others are as well). I send love love love to the Brady and Nosal families. If there are any other ways we can support this family, please let us know. #Enough
I went to high school with Caroline and we graduated the same year. She has a heart of good, and loved everyone that she came into contact with.. sending lots and lots of prayers.
Is there a donation drop at the store ?
