The Norvis Family needs your help!!
Shortly after graduating 8th grade last May, John and Lisa’s daughter, Kayla began developing medical issues. For unknown reasons, Kayla began having seizures, severe allergies which led to anaphylaxis, angioedema (severe swelling) and many other symptoms. As a result, her life has been dramatically altered. She cannot attend the Morris County School of Technology where she is studying Sports Medicine. In addition, Kayla has not been able to be with her friends, compete in her sports or enjoy the activities a typical 15 year-old should.
Lisa and John have not given up and have been Kayla’s best advocates. They have spent endless time going from doctor to doctor, specialist to specialist, hospital to hospital, near and far. Their perseverance has brought them to Hackensack University Medical Center, Duke University, New York University and The Mayo Clinic. Slowly, the “pieces of the puzzle” are coming together. They are hoping for a diagnosis and action plan in the near future.
This family are near and dear to our hearts and have given so much of themselves to their community and friends. John has been a firefighter for the Newark Fire Department since 1995 and is now captain. Through all of this, Kayla and the entire the Norvis family remain positive and are relying heavily on their strong faith. THEY NEED OUR HELP! Even with insurance, medical bills have become a financial burden. From doctor’s bills to copays to travel expenses to missed time from work, the financial load is adding up.
Please help make a difference and ease their minds during this trying time. Any amount will be appreciated as we continue to keep sweet Kayla and her beautiful framily in our prayers.
