Spreading joy, one nostalgic song at a time!
Vintage Voices is a student organization at the University of Maryland that performs sing-along shows of nostalgic music for homebound senior citizens. Our purpose is to brighten their days and touch their hearts through this rejuvenating music and through bridging the generational gap.
In addition to performing for the residents, we donate iPods so they can listen to their favorite music anytime. Music stimulates, relaxes, revitalizes, and improves residents' moods and memory. Funds raised go toward iPods and headphones. We work with communities that have existing iPod programs, where the staff are trained to administer the iPods and are enthusiastic about using them daily. These communities need more iPods and headphones, so please consider donating to spread the joy of music.
You can also donate an iPod, or attend our benefit concert on campus on March 30 @ 7pm!
