SNOW REMOVAL FOR VETERANS

Hello my name is Ian.   I'm going to tell a short story I've why I am doing this . For the past few years here on Long Island NY , we have had some brutal winters along with most of the northeast. This year they are predicting the same. Last year I saw many Facebook posts of people needing help with snow removal , plowing, shoveling what have you. One in particular really got to me . It was a disabled veteran who could not get their car out to go and get needed supplies for their young children . I saw this post go unanswered for a while. After about an hour they re-post that they really need to get out to get baby supplies. So I got in my vehicle and headed to the address. Pulling up to the house I see this injured veteran clearly in pain and freezing trying to dig out their car that was buried by the 12+ inches of snow and mounds of hard packed snow left by the town snow plows, making very difficult. I get out of my vehicle and as I walk up to the person another vehicle pulls up and he asks me if this is the house with the disabled vet looking for help. I said yes, I just pulled up and was going to see the situation and start removing snow. This person says ok and starts plowing away the stuff left by the town plows. Long story short now. The veteran was able to go back in the house and warm up as the the driveway was cleared and the car plowed out. After this I thought I have to try and set something up for next year so stuff like this does not happen.

      So now I'm creating this fundraiser .Though I would love to provide this for free to those who need it. I have a family to support too and can not provide this service without some assistance. That"s where you come in. If you can donate any amount that will help me reach my goal you have no idea how much this will help . It will guarantee the veterans who need this service in my immediate area will get snow removal this whole winter without worry . YES I will provide plowing ,snow blowing ,etc. to those veterans who need it for the whole winter, NOT just one storm .They will be worry free and not have to write help needed posts on Facebook The $5000.00 will cover the expense of equipment ( Fuel , maintenance , etc..) and work lost due to concentrating on the individual Veterans and Military personal who need this service before everyone else . I am currently working with the local VFW to get the names of the service man and women who need this.
