Help V's Recover After a Hit-and-Run

Hey, it's V's, your friendly neighborhood trans woman who sometimes does stuff on youtube. On Tuesday, the 5th, I was struck by a car in a hit and run about half a block from my home. It's left me unable to bend my left knee or put weight on it for more than a few seconds at a time, which means I've been unable to work for the last two weeks.

I've seen two doctors and had x-rays done, luckily there's no break, but without an MRI they can't tell if it's a tendon issue, dislocation or meniscus tear, on top of the bleeding into the joint that they can tell is happening. My insurance covers some things, but an MRI isn't one of them, and the MRI is $2500. I'm also not allowed to work until the 28th at the very earliest, and that's not including the possible surgery and recovery time from that.

Being the primary income in our house, missing a month or more of work isn't just bad, it's disastrous. We need help keeping a roof over our heads and paying bills as well as paying for the MRI, which is were half the goal comes from, the rest being missed hours at work.

I honestly didn't want to do this and was planning on not getting the MRI, but after my last visit to the doctor she stressed that I could lose the use of my leg permanently if they don't find and fix the problem relatively soon and it heals wrong.

At this point I'm not sure what else to do but ask for more help. I have amazing friends who already helped me replace my phone and shoes (one got ruined in the accident) but there's no way I can ask them to help with this, so I'm asking here.
