Bringing home baby

We are adopting! I cannot even begin to explain the magnitude of emotions that crosses our hearts and minds with being able to say those three words. Adoption has always been a burden on both of our hearts since before we were married, but we never imagined the journey we would have to take to be able to say those three words. We have faced heartbreak as we  dealt through 6 years of struggling with infertility.  We have faced hard decisions as we decided to stop short with fertility treatments to pursue adoption, and we have faced a challenge of our faith as we have had to take a huge leap, trusting for His provision physically, emotionally, and spiritually. God has shown us that while the child may not biologically be our child, he/she will be whom God has always intended/created to be our child.  We have discovered that adoption is a calling and a privilege. It’s a journey that will stretch and grow our faith. It’s an opportunity to live out the gospel and to share the love of Christ. As we grappled with the decision to adopt, we came across an article that so beautifully expressed what our heart and desire is as we pursue adoption. As I am sure you all know, adopting can be expensive. It was suggested to us by our agency to put up a gofundme page so those who wanted to help in this way could. We of course appreciate any financial  help but we sincerely ask mostly for your prayers. This is a new and different experience for us and we desperately need wisdom, strength, and guidance as we continue down this journey. This has not happened the way we thought or planned for it to go but it has happened exactly as God planned it (Isaiah 55:8). As God has worked in our hearts the last few years He has finally brought us to the point where we can say...WE ARE ADOPTING!!! ❤️
