VOYHS - The Trans Voice App

I am a trans woman, and the founder of VOYHS, a company focused on improving the lives of trans people through speech therapy. Frankly, every time I speak, I hear a voice I wish I didn’t have. 

Like when you hear a recording of yourself and cringe - that is every single word for many trans people.

There are places where I will not talk - I could be hurt for being heard.

I am not alone. To quote only one person:

“My androgyny catches people off guard - I open my mouth and they know immediately."


Although solutions exist, they have many issues. On the expensive side, there are long waits, high costs, and potential extreme dangers in the case of surgeries.

On the free side, although there is a wealth of information, it's often overwhelming, contradictory, and there's no real feedback system in place.

This is where we come in. Providing accessibility and coaching in a way that nobody else has. Creating an app which provides these services to improve as many people's lives as possible. 


We are using a technology which can gender a voice based on over 20 different variables, versus the only 1 that most digital tools use - pitch.

Our lessons are quick, easy to access, and only take about 5 minutes a day.

Users will be able to share their progress, and practice with other users, while also receiving feedback.

The basic framework of the app has already been developed, and we can prove this technology works. In only 8 months, we plan release to the public, with distribution through professional speech therapists as a companion tool to their care. 

Our team is made up of three committed individuals with over 30 years of experience in programming and design between us, and we have worked on projects valuing over 9 million dollars.

Not to mention - we have lived this problem.
