Vlad (Vova) Dubrovsky is a selfless 32 year old son, newlywed husband of 2 years, and lover of animals who is now faced with a battle for his life, liver cancer. Those who know Vova, know him to be the most generous, patient, and easy going person you'll ever meet. He has dedicated his life to his sweet bride Kimberly, and the health and welfare of the animals he sees every day at the Oregon Humane Society.

Just last month, after noticing his energy level had decreased, and experienced unusual weight loss, Vlad went to get checked out. That very day, the scans indicated there were masses growing on and around his liver. Biopsies were immediately scheduled, yet he and Kim had to wait nearly a week for the results.

Even though Vlad & Kim have been faced with news that a 33 year old, or a newlywed couple who just bought their first home together, should not expect to hear in 40 years (or ever!), they are positive that they will win this battle together.

I'm asking for your help, Vlad is my cousin. I've watched him grow from the rambunctious boy who perpetrated shenanigans with my younger brother David, into a sweet, gentle, loving man & husband who wants nothing more than to create a happy life for his wife Kim and innocent animals in need of care.

The medical bills and expenses for the types of treatment he will need will undoubtedly exceed what a Vet Tech from the humane society could shoulder on his own.

Every donation helps, and if you cannot donate please share this story, and say a prayer for Vlad & Kim.

(100% of the proceeds will go directly to Vlad and Kimberly to help offset the escalating medical bills and associated expenses.)

Hi Guys,
We just discovered that Vlad/Vova doesn't have access to post updates to this campaign, so I am posting this message that he and his wife sent me yesterday for all of you to read:
Kim and I want to thank everyone who has donated, provided kind words and shared my story. Kim and I are not only amazed but also very humbled by the support that family, friends, friend’s of friends and anonymous people have given to us. I can never fully tell you how grateful and blessed we are for all the love and support. This journey that we are on is the most difficult that we have ever experienced and we are taking it head on using a combination of western and eastern medicine along with all the positive prayers and thoughts that have been sent our way from all of you. Your love and support has made it easier to focus on my healing process. We ask that you keep us in your prayers and send positive healing energy to me. They say it takes a village and I am very thankful that all of you are a part of my village.
Love, Vova & Kim

Hi everyone,
On behalf of our family, we want to thank you for your fast response and generous donations. It's hard to find the right words, when you see so much love pouring in and we are humbled by your support.
Just a quick update to let you know that since starting the campaign 24 hours ago, we have raised over $3200. This is amazing, AND we need to keep going to help Vova with financing his treatment by sharing this campaign with your communities and Social Media circles. If you don't have the funds to contribute it's understandable, you can take on the role of being his champion by sharing this link which will help just as much!
Thank you,
Natalia & Brent

May he spread even more good in heaven and be surrounded by God's love. He was a wonderful young man and will never be forgotten.
