We have made zines that encourage voting to repeal the 8th amendment in this year’s referendum.
The zines have information about the 8th amendment, why you should vote to repeal it, and practical information on how to register the vote.
They unfold to become a placard or a poster for campaign stalls. The project was inspired by the Suffragettes of 100 years ago, who used the distribution of printed information to spread their message.
We’ve got some great feedback from people who’ve used the zines as a tool to talk to people who might be on the fence about repealing, like one person who said it instigated their first conversation about repeal with their parents.
We funded the first printing run ourselves, but we need help to get more printed. We will distribute them to canvassers, campaigners, local businesses and college.
All funds will go to the printing costs of these zines.
