Voice for Homeless Veterans
Donation protected
Everyone sees it but not everyone will do something. We chose to do something. Last semester, Nick, Danielle, Sujin, Amy, and I, decided to commit our year to working on the issue of Veteran Homelessness. With the help of our Public Leadership Program, we hope to create real social impact on Veteran Homelessness by encouraging our campus community to donate to deserving non-profits and to become educated on policy issues.
When searching for a local organization to partner with, we came across Operation Renewed Hope Foundation. They are dedicated specifically to ending veteran homelessness in Prince George's County and Montgomery County. ORHF provides support for homeless veterans and has already had great success in finding suitable housing for our vets and providing means of transportation which is crucial in searching for employment. What they do is incredible but they need the involvement of our community. Their operations depend on our donations.
We ask you to say "Yes" to the question ignored many times before...
Can you spare some change?
On April 7th, we will host a panel event with speakers from ORHF and former homeless veterans. We hope to raise $500 before the event. Donations will go directly to ORHF. Help by donating today!
