This story is about our little brother, Bill and his wife Andrea.
Bill and Andrea are two of the most loving and giving people you could ever meet. They are both teachers, love their jobs, and have committed their lives to working with children. Outside of the classroom they volunteer with youth sports, anti-bullying programs, spend several weeks each summer as counselors at Church Camp, and lead Vacation Bible School. Bill and Andrea are also great parents of two fantastic boys, Kyle, a senior in college and Chad, a junior in high school.
Their story starts in December of 2014. A few days before Christmas, Bill was diagnosed with tonsil and neck cancer. Since the end of December, he has had 2 surgeries, 7 chemo treatments and 35 radiation treatments. For these treatments, Bill had to travel 3 hours a day, 5 days a week for 7 weeks....all the while with his wife, Andrea by his side. Throughout Bill's treatment, they both insisted on still being there for the boys' school activities and staying involved with their church.
As Bill reached the half way point of his treatments, Andrea, through a routine checkup, was given the news she has breast cancer.
So, when Bill's treatments neared their end, Andrea's began.
She first had surgery and is now having 4 chemo treatments every 3 weeks and when those are done, once again, they will be traveling 3 hours a day, 5 days a week for her 30 radiation treatments.
As you can imagine, the cost of all the travel and their cancer treatments has drained them both not only physcially but also financially.
Now on top of all this, they have been told that they need major repairs on their home, including a new roof, HVAC, etc. These are expenses they certainly can not afford at this time.
The reason we are putting this page out is to request donations to help Bill and Andrea recover some of their medical expenses and continue to care for their health, home and family. While we know that normalcy in their lives is not in their near future, the generosity of others is one way to provide the support they so desperately need during this time of uncertainty.
We want to say thank you in advance for your prayers and for any finanical help, however small, that you can give to our little brother and his beautiful family.
