Vision Impaired & Blind Bowlers WA

Donation protected
The Vision Impaired and Blind Bowlers of WA are dedicated to assisting totally blind and vision impaired people to participate in lawn bowls. For every vision impaired person there is a sighted volunteer (director)who acts as their eyes, assisting them both on and off the green. The degree of assistance is dependent on the degree of vision impairment.
Vision Impaired bowlers are divided into four categories and they participate in Club, State, National & International competitions.
The National Championships are to be held in Coolangatta, Queensland on 20th May this year. We need $30,000 to send our team to compete. The team consists of 8 bowlers and 8 sighted volunteers (directors). All our players are on a limited income, namely a Centrelink pension, making it difficult for them to pay their costs in full. We are aiming to raise $15,000 before 1st May to subsidise the cost to enable our team to represent WA. Thank you for your support.
