Dear Friends of Virginia Hills Pool,
Our pool was founded over 50 years ago as one of the centers of the Virginia Hills community. Today, our membership has grown, and our swim team is thriving--largely because of the efforts of a few hardy pool members who worked to get the pool rebuilt about a decade ago. As we try to maintain our affordability and competitiveness with other local summer clubs, the Board has decided not to increase dues for several years. We are able to cover the growing expenses of our lifeguard staff and pool supplies with annual dues, but several repairs are still needed--thus the fundraising campaign!
A new water fountain, maintaining our trees, repairing our parking lot, whitecoating the pool, and repairing the concrete on the upper deck are all facilities costs that need to happen in the very near future. Additionally, we would like to grow our savings as we look to rebuild the pool house to make it more accessible.
Our pool has served generations of Northern Virginians. Let's make it available for many more!
