Violin Lessons for Warren Students

Tax deductible
Since 2013, the Warren Philharmonic Orchestra has been providing free violin lessons to a selected number of Trumbull County students in grades 3-8. The program is called Strings of Joy.

The lessons are conducted by Orchestra members, professional musicians in the Warren area, and include individual and group instruction, the loan of age-appropriate instruments and music.

Recent cuts from two local grant sources of $22,000 have put the program in jeopardy, along with all of the Orchestra's Youth Outreach efforts. Learn more at http://www.warrenphilharmonic.org/youth-outreach-campaign-2017-2018.html.

The Orchestra has already taken steps to close this funding gap, and this year's student concerts in November are funded. We still need to raise $5,000 to continue the Strings of Joy lessons through June 2018.

See more Strings of Joy photos from the May 2017 recital and view videos of students' July performance for a local service club at http://www.warrenphilharmonic.org/strings-of-joy-2016-2017.html.

Help our students, their families and our community discover the thrill of classical music and the instruments, performers and composers that enrich our lives.

Thank you for any contribution!
