Violets Glow

In February 2018,15 month old Violet was diagnosed with a rare progressive eye disease called Coats,  found by her Mum, after taking a photo and seeing   a 'glow' as oppose to red eye.
Unfortunately by the time she was diagnosed she had lost the sight in her left eye, Violet will continue to have long term treatment under GOSH to try to keep her eye healthy, but her vision will not be restored.   Nadine (her Mum) has tried her hardest to raise awareness and encourage other parents to seek medical advise on finding a glow found in flash photography, and to promote early detection of one of 16 eye conditions the glow is linked to.
  As you know Nadine recently entered a competition for Violet to win a magical garden makeover, unfortunately she was unsuccessful due to the volume of worthy applicants.
 I have set this page up with the intention of helping Nadine contribute towards having her garden made safe for Violet.
 As you can imagine life outside the home is tough for Violet without knowing her surroundings. She also has trouble with depth perception and is prone to the odd bruise......or two! We are hoping for her to have some playground flooring and artificial grass once the garden is made level. This will enable her to play outside safely with her siblings.
Any donations unspent will be used to promote more awareness by purchasing posters ,leaflets and advertising. We will keep you updated with any purchases, and photos on VioletsGlow Awareness Page.
