Victoria has a dark sense of humor. But a kind heart. You could call her Goth, or Alternative, or Emo, but she'd say she considers herself something else. She's like a Ninja. Always in black, quiet and stealth, even sneaking up on death before it tried to sneak up on her. That's why we know she'll win this match with Stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. It's as though she knew this would be the battle of her life and she's ready.
So are we.
This is Victoria's mom, Amanda:
Amanda is a badass (who do you think Victoria gets it from?) Amanda shaved her head the day she found Victoria in the bathroom catching chunks of hair falling out after her second chemotherapy session.
"Do you want to shave your head?" asked Amanda.
"Yeah," answered Victoria.
So Amanda called her cousin and asked him to come over with his clippers.
"I'll be right there," he said.
One hour later Amanda and Victoria were rocking their new looks.
Victoria's husband, Manny, has been supportive and continues to work to make ends meet.
Victoria's dad, Dominic, is participating in Relay For Life.
This is who Hodgkin's Lymphoma has picked to compete with. Badasses.
But here's the thing. Even badasses need help sometimes. And this is one of those times.
We are asking for your donations for Victoria and her family as they travel down this road of healing to help cover medical expenses, time off of work, food, parking, etc. No amount is too small or large and any amount is appreciated!

Oh, you're still here? Good because we want you to know that Victoria loves to bake and was applying to baking schools when all of this happened. Help Victoria survive and thrive so that one day her Facebook cover photo can be one of a big old birthday cake she bakes for herself a long, long time from now.
(As her mom says, she's a bit on the dark side but she likes baking so she's not that dark!)
