Saving Our Future - Addiction Education/Prevention

Donation protected
Our mission is to save our youth by reducing drug experimentation, addiction, and overdose through education.

We represent the Victoria Siegle Foundation honoring the voice of 18 year old Victoria Siegel.

Our goal is to send very powerful speakers to bring drug education to 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th graders and their parents, while we work with the office of the Superintendent to implement multiple other initiatives to support a comprehensive program.  We are looking at a positive message and not a punitive one in approaching the problem.

We strive for Drug Free Schools nationwide.

We support the use of lockboxes for prescription medication because 53% of kids who use illicit prescription drugs get them from a relative's or friend's medicine cabinet.

We stand for legislation the would require co-prescription of Naloxone every time an opioid prescription is given.

Having every first responder, school, college, and university carry doses of this life saving, non-addictive antidote Naloxone.

The implementation of random drug testing in partnership with education institutions.

We also speak about how families can discourage drug experimentation, how to lower the likelihood children will abuse drugs or become addicted, and how to avoid overdose in children.

The foundation played a pivotal role in Congress passing the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA).

SAVING LIVES so we don't lose our future generations to drug abuse and addiction!

Will YOU be apart of HELPING US save future generation lives???

Update: October 23, 2019 - from Jessie Smith

Today is the day we  (VictoriasNCTeam) leave for the Event to Save Lives! I wanted to thank everyone for their contributions and efforts to support the Victoria Siegel Foundation. We are very excited to be a part of making a difference and working to end the opioid crisis on behalf of North Carolina.

I am required to give an update on how the funds will be presented to the Victoria Siegel Foundation. Through many efforts, I was unable to set up the direct deposit of our money raised from this Go Fund Me page directly to the Foundation. The funds will be transferred to my personal account and I will present a check to the Victoria Siegel Foundations owner on Friday at the Event to Save Lives. This first fundraiser has taught us a lot and we look forward to continuing our work as a team to end the opioid crisis.

Thank you again to everyone that supported our fundraiser. I look forward to sharing photos from the event later this week.
