Victims of the Atlas Fire

We are Tony Madrone and Katie Sablinsky and our parents, Mary and Charles, long time Napa residents and active community members, were a part of the first group people evacuated due to the Atlas fire in Napa CA.

Mary and Charles were woken up at 2am by first responders on Monday morning, October 9th, and told to evacuate immediately. My Mom attempted grab a few irreplaceable items like baby pictures and her mother's needle point, but the firefighters insisted that if they didn't leave immediately they may not make it out alive. Their cozy rental home and car has burned to the ground along with a lifetime of memories, family heirlooms, memorabilia and beloved family photos.

We are so fortunate and truly blessed that they are safe, but now we are struggling to rebuild their lives with literally only the clothes on their backs. We are working with them to devise a plan to move forward and get them back on their feet with clothing, shoes, a new place to live, and furniture.

We know there are a lot of people needing help right now, and it is very hard for us to have to ask for help, so any small amount of assistance you can provide will be so greatly appreciated! Although our parents are super heroes, they still need a helping hand. Thank you for caring!
