Help Becky Fight Cancer

Donation protected
November 8th was the first day that there was an inkling that something may be wrong.  Becky found a lump in her left breast.  Within a week she had her mammogram, sonogram, biopsies, MRI's and on Nov 15th she was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer.  Becky's treatment plan consists of 20 chemo treatments followed by a double masectomy and reconstructive surgery.

Becky is a Wife,  mom of two, daughter, sister,  aunt, cousin and most importantly one of the most caring and wonderful women you'll ever meet.  Becky always puts family and others before herself.  Due to her family being hit by a drunk driver, which has lead to her husband's disability and not being able to work, she has worked two sometimes three jobs at a time to make ends meet for herself and her family.  In times of need she is the first to step up.  When our mother was ill and in hospice care, she would take time off of work, to help our dad take care of mom.  When my son was a month old, she was visiting for the Holidays, and I ended up in the hospital for emergency surgery.  Once again she took off of work to care for my son until I was able to take care of  him.

As you can see Becky is the caregiver for all of her  family.  She is the insurance holder for her family.  During Becky's time of treatment there will be days that she doesn't feel well or may have side effects from Chemo that will keep her from working.  She has limited time that she can take off of work, and will need to save her disability time for her surgery and her recovery.  Our hope is to raise funds to help Becky meet her deductible, co-payments, and help her not lose funds when she has to take time off of work with no pay.

Cancer is a challenging disease, the emotional and physical toll alone is alot for any person.  Keeping a positive attitude, getting plenty of rest, and stress managment will go a long  way in her recovery.  Please help us give Becky that peace of mind that she can take this time that is needed for her to recover, and not worry about medical bills, rent, utilties, food etc that will keep adding up while she has to take time off of work.

As we come upon this time of year that is about family and giving, we hope that you can keep Becky in your thoughts and prayers.  Any donation that you can make would help us in giving Becky the peace of mind, that it is okay to take time for yourself to recover.  Help us give my loving sister a smoother, less stressful road to recovery.

If you'd like to follow her journey or help out in other ways you can follow her journey on www.caringbridge.com .  If you would prefer to donate privately you can contact me.  All funds raised will be given to Becky to meet her medical and financial needs during her treatment.

Thanks for supporting Becky and keeping her in your thoughts and prayers.  Becky and her family appreciate your help and thoughts and kindness at this time of need.
