Hi there!

We are Voices Found Repertory, a theatre company based in Milwaukee, WI. VFR is the product of many creative minds. We weren't seeing the work we wanted to see, so we decided we were going to make it ourselves. Through experimentation, flexibility, and integrity, we hope to produce passionate, empathetic, and imaginative stagings of Shakespeare's work, alongside original, never-before-seen work.

We've spent the last two years working our butts off, facing both triumphs and failures, and growing every step of the way. We're ready to push on with our third season, but we need your help! But first, here's a little more about us.

Our Mission

Voices Found Repertory is a new theatre company based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Through experimentation, flexibility, and integrity, we strive to create theatre that unifies its audience; to develop a common artistic vocabulary and allow artists to work, learn, and play together; and to establish an inclusive safe space for exploration, communication, and empathy.

How does your support help us?
People: For VFR to keep putting out unique and energetic shows we need teams of dedicated actors, designers, technicians, stage managers, and directors. These artists give us their time and their talent and we want to be able to compensate them for their work.

Space: We've made our home at The Underground Collaborative, a small artist's space in the basement of Grand Avenue Mall. A large portion of our funds go towards being able to keep a permanent rehearsal space, and to rent out the Arcade Theatre for performances.

Design: Making sure the designers have the tools they need to bring their vision to life.

Social Media/Marketing: Posters, business cards, social media ads, production photos, and everything that helps us spread the word about the work we're doing.

Our Work
Right now we're hard at work on our ambitious third season. We travel from the early days of theatre in ancient Greece with "Medea," to Shakespeare's first and bloodiest tragedy with "Titus Andronicus" to a modern dark comedy (with puppets!) with "Hand to God." This season we are featuring three female directors, all making their directing debuts with VFR. We started strong with "Titus," and are keeping the momentum going with "Medea" in rehearsal and putting together our "Hand to God" team.  34264856_1541470424148407_r.jpeg
