Action Against Hunger

Hi my name is Ethan Krueger and I'm raising money to support the non-profit organization Action Against Hunger in their efforts in reducing world hunger and malnutrition. Reliable food and water is something I had personally taken for granted; as many people do in the developed world. I'd never seen the impact of hunger until just this year when I began working at an elementary school in Norwich, CT. Although most of the students get supplied a free breakfast and lunch, certain students constantly approach me and other staff members asking for extra food throughout the day. Although this is often a normal trend for growing children we began to ask questions. Did you eat anything before school? Do you have any snacks to bring from home? What did you eat for dinner last night? We learned that many of these students are supplied with almost nothing to eat aside from the food given to them during a 5-hour span of the school day. This moved me and other staff members and we've collectively supplied multiple students with groceries to take home and extra snacks for the classroom. But this didn't feel like enough. I've seen the effects of hunger on the mental and physical stability of these children and I can only imagine what the effects are in children throughout the world who have even less resources than what we can offer in the United States. SO I NEED YOUR HELP!
Action Against Hunger is a non-profit organization designed to assist people struggling with reliable food and water supplies. It has spread its reach to over 50 countries and assisted more than 14.7 million people. With one of (if not) the highest ratings among world hunger organizations and 87% of all donations going directly to the actions of the organization I think you'll find it a worthy recipient of you donations.
