Veteran Families Disaster Relief

Tax deductible
Advocate Program is a non-profit organization in Miami, Florida.  The Program operates the Veteran Administration Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program for Miami- Dade and Monroe Counties. Through this program we assist veterans who are literally homeless or at risk of homelessness find and maintain stable housing. Due to Hurricane Irma, many of our veterans have been displaced and in need of assistance. Now Hurricane Maria threatens our friends in the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico after taking a battering by Irma. As such, the VA has asked Advocate Program to take over in assisting veterans in those areas in addition to the ones we already serve in Miami and the Keys. Hurricane Maria is due to make landfall in the Virgin Islands by tomorrow and in Puerto Rico by Wednesday. The need is immediate and urgent.

The Program is requesting donations to assist these heroes.

These are the items needed (minimum 200 of each):

Cots
Batteries
Battery Operated Radios
Tarps for Roofs
Mosquito repellent
Water
Flashlights
Toiletries
Non- Perishable food items
Bleach
New towels
Detergent
Soap
First Aid Kits

Additionally, the Program requires assistance with storing and shipping of items received.  If you would like to help sponsor or support this initiative in anyway please consider donating for this cause.

Thank you for your consideration.
