Veteran and 1st Responder Suicide
It is estimated that over 20 veterans and police officers a day lose their life to suicide. My mission is to bring awareness that our service members and 1st responders are still fighting. The war may have been left overseas or on the streets after the shift but the battle still rages on in our heads and our hearts.
By working with Mission 22 and The Weekly Fight we will support our military veterans and their families. Code 9 Project supports our 1st Responders and the communities they serve. Together our goal is to reduce that 20 a day to 0. My financial goal is to raise $100,000 in total for these honorable programs.
I am a Marine Corps veteran and a police officer who has battled suicidal thoughts, anxiety, and depression along with PTDS. I am planning an overland expedition of North America. Where I will be attending 12 major events to raise money for the non-profits I have listed. I will also be working on personal healing while helping others that need healing too.
During this journey, I hope to find out more about myself and my place in this world. At the end, all remaining funds will be donated to the charities I have chosen to represent.
