Operation Stand Your Back - Veteran
$12,172 of $15,000 goal
Retired Disabled Vietnam vet and National Guard retiree's house goes into foreclosure 1-15-15.
After 3 surgeries in 2014 alone, following several others over the years, Mid Missouri resident, Bob and Sandy Sneller's home is schedules for foreclosure by mid month. Mr. Sneller's wife, Sandy, has had two bouts of cancer, numerous other medical problems.
Having talked to the attorney handling the foreclosure, received appropriate documentation, necessary releases (Bob’s is aware of this fundraiser and signed several legal releases), we need to raise $14,000 by January 15, 2015 in order to bring house payments up to date so the house will not be foreclosed upon Jan. 23, 2015
An account, Operation Stand Your Back - Veteran Sneller Family Home has been set up at Home Savings Bank, PO Box 867, Jefferson City, MO 65102 to accept any donations that individuals, businesses, friends and former colleagues are willing to make. Or you can donate here.
Bob and his wife Sandy have consistently supported veterans, their families, cancer efforts and many other community activities throughout the years.
Bob served with the Air Force in Vietnam and with the Mo National Guard at the aviation support facility as a jet engine mechanic.
Please help support them during their time of need.
They wish to express their grateful appreciation to each of you for taking the time to either forward the need to another individual or to send a contribution.
You have made all the difference!
The GFM account will be closed in the morning. Blessings to all of you! Pat Rowe Kerr
Once in hand, we will let you know that they are good to go, closing this account.
None of this would have happened without each one of you -- either donating, sharing with others or your prayers.
Bob's DD214 (discharge) papers received from the Department of Defense reflect he was the recipient of the AFM 900-3/Vietnam Service Medal, AFM900-3/Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, MoARNG Long Svc Rbn (20 yr), NTL-DEF-SVC-MDL-1 to name a few.
They had worked with both the state veterans agency and the VFW to obtain VA benefits and we will continue to provide support in hopes his federal benefits will be increased.
Since he went from MoNG to a state agency where he was covered by state insurance, he did not automatically retire from MoNG and go on to Tricare for health insurance. He and his wife now have Tricare so those gaps should be filled.
It has been an honor to work with this family and each of the service members, veterans and their families for well over a decade!
Please be proud of all of them -- and take a moment to be proud of you for your willingness to make a difference!
In order to process contributions timely we have requested that a portion of these dollars be transferred to the account where donations are being received at Home Savings Bank ----
Thank you for your continuing support! Remember, the sum that appears under Bob's picture will have an 8% deduction to pay GoFundMe for its services and processing.
Combining the two funds (Home Savings Bank) and GoFundMe, we are within $3500 of our goal.....recognizing that there are outstanding pledges that have not yet been sent to either account
and considering that GoFundMe keeps approximately 8% as a service fee.
Because it takes a few days to transfer funds from GoFundMe to Home Savings Bank, the accounts will remain open while we begin that transfer later Tuesday evening. This will allow us to gather funds in one location so we can get the cashier checks to the attorneys.
Once the transfer begins, please continue to either contribute at Home Savings Bank or to GoFundMe so we can ensure the total amount is raised in case pledges do not make it.
Your willingness to help Bob and Sandy is very awesome. Your help changes lives each and every day!
