The Duplin County Veterans Memorial Museum needs Your Support!

Warsaw, North Carolina is famous for having the longest ongoing celebration of Veterans Day in the country.  Actually, Warsaw observed its first Veterans' Day in 1921 before the holiday was formally recognized.

The Duplin County Veterans Memorial Museum, located in Warsaw, seeks to honor and remember the members of our community who have selflessly served in the armed forces of the United States of America. Their sacrifice of time, talent, and in some cases life itself deserves to be remembered and honored by all of us who enjoy the freedoms for which they served and fought.

The museum is dedicated to their honor and memory. While we seek to honor the service of all veterans, the focus of the museum is on Duplin County Veterans.  Yet, this is not a publicly funded entity.  Daily operations and facility maintenance are costs which must be addressed and funded.  To that end, the Board of Directors has established an annual campaign to allow all of us as citizens of the United States to show our appreciation of, and support for, our veterans.

How You Can Support the Duplin County Veterans Museum

The Board of Directors of the Duplin County Veterans Memorial Museum invites you to participate in the 2015 Annual Fundraising Campaign for the maintenance and operation of the museum.

All donations, large or small will be greatly appreciated, and they can be made by individuals, businesses, or corporations.  All donations are tax deductible, and donors have the option of making a donation in honor or in memory of a veteran.

Donations for the museum may be made securely through this Go Fund Me page.  Also, the Board plans to have corporate and individual sponsorships which will be documented in the museum itself with an Honor Roll of Donors.  Additionally, the Circle of Honor supporters will be recognized by a periodic display of said sponsorship on the front lawn and with a permanent plaque plainly visible to the public on the inside.

We seek to raise awareness of the total support for all veterans shown by caring citizens and businesses.  Is it not time that we all join forces and let our veterans know how much they are appreciated and that this museum is an effort to proclaim publicly that we are proud Americans who appreciate the contributions made by our veterans to our way of life?
