Veteran Made Burial Flag Cases

On January 20, 2015, I made a discovery that troubled me greatly. I believe it is one of the greatest injustices for a Veteran I had ever witnessed. Myself and a few friends were paying our respects at a Veterans funeral in KY for a homeless Veteran who we had never even met. After the ceremony I walked into the office and discovered that over 15 American Veteran's Burial Flags were being stored in burial flag cases Made in China !!
Our story starts when I decided to honor my father, a Marine, and start helping veterans in any way I could to honor his service. That passion led me to almost 8 years of volunteering, spending countless hours and dollars supporting veteran causes. Eventually we started raising a few dollars here and there and hiring disabled veterans to hand make products that were sent to our troops all over the world. Well, on January 20, 2015 I immediately decided to do everything possible to hire veterans to hand make Burial Flag Cases for our veterans cemeteries. In February of 2015, Operation Honor, a 501(c)3 Public Charity formed and we were on our way. We now have everything set up to start building hand-made Flag cases and our first order for Burial Flag Cases was from Arlington National Cemetery. We will be delivering Veteran-Made cases to Arlington on Veterans Day, November 11, 2016. The response and support have been overwhelming and we are now in need a warehouse to hire additional veterans to build flag cases. Our mission is clear, Enhance the lives of Veterans...One Mind at a Time. Please consider giving a little to help us touch the lives of so many veterans and help ensure that NO VETERAN'S BURIAL FLAG is ever placed in a case Made in China ever again!
