Help defend those who defended America.

Disabled Veteran, SSG(R) Ed Turlington, shot a trespassing meth dealer in self defense in rural Oklahoma. While his neighbors and some law enforcement personnel thanked him for it, the District Attorney wants to put Ed in prison.

Ed is married, and has four young children, including one special-needs child.  Ed's wife, Julie, is a public school teacher, and together they are running a small family farm in Delaware County, Oklahoma.  He has already spent $10,000 for attorneys fees, but that is not nearly enough for a criminal defense attorney to continue his defense throughout a trial.  Ed has a good case for lawful self defense, but he can't defend himself in court without funds.

A full report of the incident and the investigation, including records, medical evidence and photographs, is available at www.firstfamilies.net

All donations will go directly to Ed's legal defense.  Those funds will be managed by an attorney (a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association) who is volunteering his time to assist with the fund raising.  If any funds are received beyond the actual legal expenses for Ed's criminal trial, then any remainder will be donated to nonprofit organizations that support disabled veterans, the Second Amendment, or Shriner's hospitals for children.
