V's Cellar Door Restaurant

As my friends and family will tell you, I have a passion for food! I have been in the food industry in some form for many years. Last year I opened the first food truck in Juneau, Alaska - V's Grinders - and it was very exciting! Thanks to the amazing folks of Juneau, it was a very successful summer and fall. V's Grinders realized a 25% increase in sales each month. My Tacos al Pastor quickly became the best-selling item on my menu and by the end of the summer I was selling out in excess of 14 pounds of pork daily.

In Juneau, it becomes very cold in the winter, and my staff and I realized, shivering, the truck was only possible as a summer endeavor. I now have the opportunity to purchase a restaurant in downtown Juneau which will offer customers a year-round location with a cozy, warm dining space for customers to enjoy some of the distinctive tastes that I will offer on my menu. I am very excited about the possibilities ahead and I am turning to you, my friends, family, and community, to seek your help in this grassroots fashion. I am $10,000 short of making my dream a reality!

What is V's Cellar Door?

V's Cellar Door will offer healthy, fun, comfort food items following a "fusion of world flavors" concept. V's will offer world fusion flavors through an easily accessible menu, with creative small plate options or entrees as well as take out items. Soft taco selections, wrap creations, and items such as Tacos Al Pastor and Kimchi Quesadillas will keep the menu exciting, attract a variety of ethnic backgrounds, be affordable, and dynamic.

My main goal with V's Cellar Door is to become one of the most successful, innovative, fun and delicious restaurants in downtown Juneau. The location is one of Juneau's prime downtown commercial spaces, with easy access for government employees, day and evening local business, and Juneau's thriving tourism industry. V's Cellar Door will be both a destination and a regular "go to" staple; a premier local restaurant with an ever-changing menu in the Juneau marketplace.

Engaging in the current world of technology, using Twitter, Social Media and our website, our customers will be regularly updated and be able to learn about V's fascinating culture of food, changing menus, food facts and tastes from around the world as well as offering an easy way to order pick up items. Juneau's marketplace is primed for this modern, comfortable eatery on the cutting edge of food combined with great service.

My focus has always been to create fresh, healthy, delicious, accessible food with a focus on fantastic service. I believe the atmosphere is as important as the food. At V's Cellar Door I will create an experience of "coming home" - comfort, fun, and relaxation. This feeling reflects my Italian roots, with a warm emphasis on family, friends, and "Mangia", and finished with a heavy application of what friends call "the energy of V".
