Im a disabled senior on a fixed income, the engine in my car went out leaving me on foot. Because of heart, breathing and spine problems,transportation is esential.
I have COPD, conjestive heart failure and an enlarged heart, my spine is in need of surgurey both cervical and lumbar, and keeps me in constant pain.( the cervical spine has already had one surgury done at C-7, the disk slipped again and is pressing into my spinal cord).
These physical problems limit me from lifting, pulling or pushing over 5-10 #. This makes it hard if not near imposible to take the bus three blocks away and bring groceries back.
Having a vehicle would allow me to drive to the door of my apartment to unload groceries taking the stess off both heart and spine and also be able to get places, like my Dr.s office with considerable less problems, being on oxygyn is difficult when walking and lifting things.
A vehicle would give me the ability to get to stores and Dr.s and just get out of the apartment.
As I have no family that can help me I am hoping to raise funds to help me with a vehicle thrugh fund raising.
