Bali Children Vacation Bible School

My name is Emily and I am currently a first year college student working on getting my transfer degree in Early Childhood Education.

Last year I took a gap year, and while traveling, I fell in love with Bali, and the children I was working with, teaching English. Through my teaching job, I met Ibu Joice, who not only is passionate for her job as director of a private school, but also has a heart for God's lost children. I was introduced to her ministry, she calls "school planting", provides many impoverished communities with free education, along with English lessons from volunteers, character building, and the gospel.


I am more than excited to announce that I will be headed to Bali, Indonesia this summer with fellow college students to share the gospel. This is a two month trip that will take place from the middle of June to the middle of August. Ever since I left Bali, I have kept in contact with Ibu Joice, and when she asked for help this summer, we decided to take this opportunity. During the first month, we will be going to a different school every week (a total of four), where we will be providing a vacation bible school for the children. During the second month, we will be visiting orphanages where we will be sharing some of the same lesson plans, spending time with the children, and loving them. God has really placed a desire on my heart for children, so I feel extremely blessed to have received this opportunity to be used in educating them about Jesus and His love for them.

As amazing as this opportunity is, I will not be able to do it alone. My team and I are all going as volunteers, which will mean that I will need to raise approximately $3000 in order to go. This will cover the cost of my plane ticket, housing and food while I am there, a translator, and school supplies and bibles for the children we will be teaching and visiting. I am asking for anyone to consider partnering with me in making this mission trip possible; whether it is financially or in prayer for my team, the children, and anyone else that God puts in our path.

I am trusting that God will raise up supporters if it is His will for me to go this summer. Any prayer or donation would mean the world to me. I am so excited to see the ways in which God will use my team and I this summer.
