Please help fire victims in Valparaíso,Chile who lost their homes on Christmas Eve.

On December 24th, 2019 families of the low-income hills of San Roque, Rocuant, Cuesta Colorada in Valparaíso were preparing to celebrate Christmas Eve until a fire swept through the region. Many families had no time to collect their belongings before fleeing the wildfire.

Over 250 homes were burned down and over 1,000 people affected. Many are currently staying in temporary shelters.

It has been confirmed by news sources that the fire was intentional . The culprits have yet to be found.

The goal of this campaign is to help 10 families by raising $2,000 USD for each family. The money will be directly deposited into their bank accounts and used for their most urgent needs. The people of this campaign have direct contact with the families.

The funding will be given to the families in the following way:
1. Funds will be transferred to Susan Mailer's account in the US (Susan is Valentina's mother).
2. Susan will wire funds to Valentina's account in Chile. Valentina lives in Valparaíso and is in direct contact with affected families.
3. Valentina will wire funds to affected families. All bank transactions will be published in this site in sake of transparency.
4. Once families receive the funding, they will send receipts and photos of the materials that will be purchased with the donation.

¡Por favor ayuda a familias porteñas que perdieron sus casas en el incendio!

La noche del 24 de diciembre del 2019, mientras Chile se preparaba para celebrar la nochebuena, familias de escasos recursos de los cerros San Roque, Rocuant, Cuesta Colorada en Valparaíso perdieron sus casas por un incendio que afectó esta zona.

Más de 250 casas fueron destruidas por el fuego , afectando a más de 100 personas. Muchos de ellos están de allegados en casa de familiares o en albergues temporales.

Diversos medios han confirmado la intencionalidad del incendio. Aun no se identifican a los culpables.

Esta campaña tiene como objetivo ayudar a 10 de éstas familias reuniendo USD$2000 para cada una de ellas, los cuales serán entregados directamente a ellos para que cubran sus necesidades más urgentes. Las personas de esta campaña están en contacto directo con las familias.
