Hi, My name is Val, and I'm trying to raise founds to pay my medical bills. I am an immigrant in the US and I can't work. Therefore, the bills are huge and I can't afford them.
Earlier, in September I called my girlfriend (now ex-girlfriend Katie, who started this campaign) saying goodbye. She panicked, and because she wanted to help me and keep me safe she called the police. Because of that I'm now knee deep in around $2800.00 of bills in America's Medical System.
When my ex-girlfriend called the police she just wanted them to check up on me, and see if I was safe. It turned out that when they got there I was safe and had not gone through with anything, but the police took me into their custody anyway, against my will, and transported me to the hospital. I told them before they took me and on arrival that I could not pay for services but they still detained me, against my will, in a mental health facility for 5 days before they allowed me to go home. I found out about the bills months later when I went back to my old apartment where all the mail went. There is no possible way that I could pay for that myself, and neither with the help of all my friends together or ex-girlfriend, since they're all students with their own tuiton and bills to pay. All together it totals just over $2,800.00, and that amount is excluding any overdue fees that have probably since piled up. Please if you can contribute it would mean the world to me. I wish I could offer something in exchange, but I'm not an artist, and I don't have any other services I could offer other than my deepest most heartfelt gratitude. Again, anything helps, even a dollar if you can pitch that much.
