Val Morgan's medical fund
Our friend Val Morgan had a terrible accident back in August. She fell down a flight of stairs at home and broke her neck in several places along with other bones and injuries. This has left her paralyzed from the chest down with very little upper mobility. She has made great strides since her accident. Despite this horrifying situation, she has the strength and determination to keep fighting. Currently, Val remains in rehab. Structural changes must be made to her home for her to return there. Along with numerous other medical necesities , she will need a special vehicle to transport her to medical appointments and therapy.
We are currently raising funds to help Val obtain what she will need to navigate life. We are asking if you can partner together with us to help our precious Val. Thanking you all in advance for your love, prayers and support!
Val continues to press on with physical therapy. One of the areas of concentration is on her ability to gain control of her hands, particularly her fingers. She is determined to push herself to improve.
She appreciates all your thoughts and prayers and especially thanks the donors that have contributed to the cause. She has a long way to go, but with your support she has come a long way. God bless you all!
Thank you Debbie Craft for your recent donation. The thoughtful concern of people like yourself continues to keep Val in the fight!
Val is beginning to feel sensation in her truck area and is continuing therapy to improve her core muscles. Because the break in her spine was an incomplete break, there is great optimism in her continued improvement. And, progress is being made! She feels the sense of touching. She is starting to feel her coccyx bone. There is some feeling coming back in several of her fingers. She has come a long way in a year and all signs indicate that there is more improvement to come.
Val appreciates each and every one who has been with her through your support and prayers. Thank you all so much.
Donor update …
Thanks so much Amy Cullum, Amy Daniels Pepin, Rachel Kohn, Terri Morgan and anonymous for your recent gifts! Each dollar is being used to offset her mounting medical bills. Thank you all for keeping her going and encouraging her in her fight!
It has almost been a year since my accident (August 11, 2017). And it has been over three months since my return home. I am delighted to be home with TC and my two puppies, Brody and Milo. It has been difficult trying to create a “new normal”. My ultimate goal is to return to work, in whatever capacity that happens to be. We have utilized the Gofundme funds to complete bath room renovations and a ramp safe for wheelchair access. Your support has enabled us to make these badly needed handicapped access changes. For all of you who have donated funds and who have held me up in prayer, I can’t thank you enough.
From us …
As you can see Val has made progress but has a long, long way to go. She is about to undergo more intensive therapy. She is in need of an affordable mobility van. Her expenses have escalated and the portion of her responsibility for medical expenses has exceeded $12,000.00. She continues the fight and, as she has stated, sincerely appreciates all your support. Once again, on behalf of Val, thanks for your support and God bless.

Thanks so much Bob G for your recent generous donation. As you can see, every penny of support has been put to good use. Our sincere thanks to all that have contributed to this cause. Thank you all for your continued financial and spiritual support.
Thanks so much for the recent donations made by Jen Grace, Carolyn Demers, David Holt and several other anonymous donors. Val expresses her deep gratitude for your kind generosity,
Her housing needs assessment has been delayed to this Monday. This is the process where by health care personnel along with Val herself, physically visit her home and note what is needed. Then, at the end of this week, Val will be transitioning home.
Her home needs include daily home care for several hours each day.
Please continue to pray for her continued improvement.
