Volley For A Cure

Tax deductible
September is Childhood Cancer Month.  We would love if you would help us support Cure in honor of it.  Flowery Branch Volleyball Team chose Cure as our charity to support a few years back.  A family member of one of our players was diagnosed with childhood cancer and Cure was a significant part of their recovery.   One year after our first charity event for Cure, one of our own players, Kristen Wells,  was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma.   After almost a year of chemo, radiation, long hospitals stays and alot of care from Cure our dear friend/teammate lost her battle.  This has made this program even more important to us.  Please help us collect more money for research to find a cure for this disease.   Below you will find a breakdown of what your donations help with.  Thank you so much for all your support in our quest to find a Cure for childhood cancer.

Some people think one person - one donation - can't make a difference. But every donation is important to CURE and every dollar counts. Here are some of the ways your donation is helping other families:

$25 provides a CURE travel tote, packed with important resources, for a family at the time of diagnosis.

$60 feeds 10 hospitalized childres or their caregives a hot, nutritious dinner

$100 furnishes a month of transportation to a child to get to the clinic for treatment

$500 hleps one family with out of pocket medical costs, such as copays and prescriptions

$800 sends 4 families to CURE's bereavement weekend, paring them with caring professionals to help them come to the terms with their grief

$5000 covers one month of training for a fellow in pediatric oncology and academic cancer research.

Why give to CURE Childhood Cancer?

Our ultimate goal is to find the cure for childhood cancer. If that's not reason enough to make a donation, here are a few more reasons CURE is worthy of your financial support.

We are focused 100% on children's cancer efforts. More than half of our funding goes directly to children's cancer research -- to support basic and translational research efforts. We fund the work of some of the most talented scientists in the field of pediatric oncology.

We offer innovative programs which address the critical and urgent needs of pediatric cancer patients and their families. We're involved in the training of future doctors and researchers who will continue a career in academic research.
