A few weeks ago, we heard some devastating news that a local member of our community was diagnosed with Bone Cancer. Marlene Meyering ,mother of two beautiful girls, is fighting for her life. The first round of chemo didn't work, and there was only a 50% of a second dose working.And in very rare coincidence, her youngest daughter also fought cancer. This family has been through a lot of hard times, and it's time we step up as a community and make the hard times better.
Family Roots Hair Salon willbe sponsoring a"Cut-a-thon" on June 13th, 2015,for Marlene where all proceeds of the haircuts will go to the family. Along with the cut-a-thon, there will be a brat fry, face painting, bouncy house,and a bake sale; which again all proceeds will go to the family.
We are asking for donations to get the supplies needed to make this day possible! Any donation will help in more ways then you know! Whatever is left and unused will go straight back to the family, along with all the proceeds from the benefit! Let's Pay It Forward!
