Mommy Joji's Road to Recovery Fundraiser

On March 2nd, while visiting the Philippines, mom suffered a stroke. She has been in the ICU since Saturday (3/2) - can’t move or speak and she is feeding through a tube. If you know mom, it’s no secret that she loves to talk to people and to interact with them, and the thought of her laying inanimate breaks our heart. Life has thrown many curveballs at our family and we have managed to jump over those obstacles but this one is out of our control and we feel absolutely helpless. Due to the fact that our province does not accept international medical insurance, we will be paying for medical costs out of pocket. This includes dialysis 3 times a week, medication, hospital stay, transportation to and from the dialysis center, blood transfusion, oxygen, personal and medical supplies, speech and physical therapy in a rehabilitation facility and if needed, caregivers.

It’s certainly not an easy feat to be asking for monetary help but this incident wreaked some financial burden and stress on our family, one we did not expect. If you have it in your heart to donate, our family greatly appreciates it. Every little bit counts and will go a long way as it will help us closer to reaching our goal. Even if you are unable to donate, please share to your social circles as it may reach out to those who can. ALL donations will go toward hospital expenses and recovery needs for our mom so that she can be in a strong enough state to fly back home to us.
