UW Cybersecurity Club to Conference

$8,500 goal

Campaign created 12 months ago
Last year we went to DEFCON, the pre-eminent cybersecurity convention in the world.

We're planning on going again and we have been given a presentation spot at the Diana Initiative, a kind of convention within a convention that celebrates diversity and women in the infosec community.

We're excited and grateful for this opportunity, but getting room, board and transportation together for eleven students is pretty expensive, so we're looking to the resources within our communities for funding.

Last year we made some rad shirts and gave them away while networking with some of the top movers and shakers in the infosec community. Anyone who helps with funding gets a spot on the back of our shirt.

Your support is not only a great opportunity to get your brand out in front of the 20,000 DEFCON attendees, but also supports the further development of a talented pool of students from which tech companies can pull from in the future.

Investing in our students at UW means the investing in the development of a workforce who understands Wyoming culture and can handle, and perhaps even loves, the Wyoming winters.

If you'd like to help us reach our funding goal of $8,500 please donate! Thank You All!
