Mamas funeral

Over the past 2 years, me and my sister Kayla have been fighting a battle beside my grandmother against cancer, dementia, and COPD. It all started when she went missing. Everything went down hill. We did everything in our power to keep her at the place she felt most comfortable. We got her a new bed and me and Kayla took turns taking off work to watch her until we lost our childhood home. We had no choice but to put her into a nursing home. At first she went to viera health and rehab where she kept falling and didn’t get the best of care. My uncle then switched her to an assistant living facility in Melbourne called Brookshire. This is where her health declined. I didn’t visit for 2 weeks and once I did go, she looked miserable. Her arms and legs were all bloody with skin tears and her body was just bones at this point. We got her sent to Holmes where they’ve been taking amazing care of her. The thing is, she has pneumonia along with her cancer. She came to the hosptial dehydrated with her kidney failing on top of her COPD. Every breath she takes is a gasp for air. The doctor told us the only thing they can do is put her on comfort care. That is where she gets a little morphine every hour to subside her pain until she passes on her own. At this point we won’t even have another week with her they said. I need help. We need help. My grandmother paid for her tomb stone and her burial plot. She didn’t pay for her casket or her funeral. It’s going to cost 3,200 total to get her buried right next to her husband and my mother. That’s where she’s always wanted to be. They don’t do payments and we have to do it up front. So please if you could donate anything please do. These last couple of days need to be the best that she’s had in a while. I want to give her at least what she wanted for the end of her life and that’s to be next to her loved ones. Me and my sister don’t have the money to do it so we need support of family and friends. So please help us reach this goal  to give our mama what she wanted.
