BRG's 50th Anniversary

Baton Rouge Gallery is turning 50 in 2016! What began as a small artist cooperative gallery for local artists has grown over the past five decades into a nonprofit contemporary art center with twelve exhibitions each year, a wealth of arts/cultural programming and roughly 15,000 visitors annually. We have a number of wonderful things planned to commemorate the gallery's golden anniversary - from special exhibitions to a fun video series - but we need your help to make them possible!
BRG has been proud to offer a place for our community to connect with local art without charging a single dollar of admission fees (excluding special events). Doing so, however, means we need the help of our community. We're asking you to consider what BRG might have meant for you over the past 50 years and what the art, the experiences, the poetry readings, the lectures and the other reasons you've visited BRG over the years have meant to you before you help us celebrate 50 years of art in Louisiana's capital city.
The arts in Baton Rouge have evolved so much over the past five decades and BRG has been honored to be a part of it. During that time, countless residents and visitors have counted on BRG to share the best of local visual art and with your help, we're ready to continue doing so for the next 50!
