The Great Holiday Layaway Payoff

There are so many families that don't have the means to make the holidays special for their kids. Unfortunately they are left with the choice of either paying bills or buying holiday gifts for their children to open. There are so many layaway plans that are left unpaid because families just don't have the means to do so - which means, no present under the tree Christmas morning.

For the past couple of years I have tried help initiate a "Secret Santa" of sorts and raise money locally to anonymously pay off Christmas layaway plans at Toys R Us for those less fortunate than many of us. Our fabulous Wilmington Film Crew family has been amazing in donating to this and we have paid off close to 50 layaway plans in 2 years.

Since we are all scattered and there is no central place to stage a donation box, this Gofundme site can be a place To donate no matter where you are now and can also cast a wider net on who can donate since we are now using the interwebs.

Please - no matter where you are, please consider donating. If you are unable to financially do so, please consider sharing. This isn't just a loocal fund raiser, so regardless of what state you are in, you can donate.

My plan is to raise as much money as possible until December 10th and then head to the store after to anonymously pay off as many layaway plans as I possibly can. I will, of course, share receipts and keep you all in the loop.
