More information about Cedar Key Dolphin Project: Since 2001, the Cedar Key Dolphin Project has been doing work on the dolphins of the Nature Coast. Dolphins are considered sentinels of ocean health, meaning that many of the things that affect them also have an effect on human health. Continual research is critical to accurately assess the population and their status.
