Kira's Battle

I am writing on behalf of some of my closest friends, Peter and Rayanne Short, because today  a wonderful family found out that their beautiful daughter has an extremely rare form of cancer. She has poorly differientiated chordoma on her spine which is inoperable.  Kira will need to undergo months of chemotherapy at BC Childrens Hospital as well as undergo months of proton radiation therapy in Boston USA. Not only will the family need to go to Boston for treatment with Kira they will also need to maintain a home here back in Canada while staying by Kiras side in the USA while she fights for her life.

Remember this face, it is the face of an angel, the face of a five year old little girl with so many experiences ahead of her, the face of Kira Short; a daughter, sister, niece, and granddaughter.

Today this little girl went from being a happy go lucky kindergartener, to fighting the battle of her life.  Please help  her parents cope with the hard road ahead, every little bit counts.  Kira's mother, father and brother deserve to spend as much time as they can with her , to enjoy every moment with out the financial burdens they  carry hanging over their heads. Help this family in their fight to save their amazing little girl. 

This gofund me account is to help with the familys financial burdens, to take the time off work to spend time with Kira, medicational costs, gas and parking at BC Childrens Hospital, travel expenses to Boston (flight, food, lodging) while Kira recieves proton radiation therapy as well as maintain their home back in Canada while in the states.
