Help Youth Team USA get to the World Championships!
Support the 2019 Team USA Under 20 (years old) Rink Hockey team to compete in the World Championships in Barcelona, Spain. Barcelona is known as the world capital of rink hockey, which presents a unique and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for these youth. The team consists of 12 members (10 players, 1 coach and 1 manager) who are eager to show off what the United States can do on the world stage.
In order to get there, the team must first participate in the 2018 Pan American Roller Games, which will be held in December 2018 in Medellin, Colombian. This means two international trips in less than one year.
Average flights from major US airports show round trip flights to Medellin for $700/person and hotels average $50/night per person. Average flights to Barcelona are currently around $1,200/person. Hotels in Barcelona average around $100/night/person. This means a budget of around $3,1500/person is necessary simply for getting our team there and staying for the duration of the tournaments.
Unfortunately, though expenses are great, these players receive no funding from the organization, therefore all members are responsible to pay their way in order to represent their country.
That’s where we need you! We can reach our goal and send our team of budding, young athletes to the world stage and give them the opportunity of a lifetime, but we can’t do it without your help. Please share and donate to support our young athletes in proudly representing their country, the United States of America. Any and all amounts help, large or small.
Our total goal is $45,000. Your support will go towards: Airline tickets, lodging, team uniforms, tournament fees, and ground transportation while in Medellin and Barcelona. All funds collected will be deposited into the US Amateur Hardball Roller Hockey Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3), so you know your money is going to be handled responsibly.
