East Side Boxing Club

Tax deductible
Eastside Boxing Club is a 501(c)(3) organization that was founded in 2018 by Billy and Jessica Lyell, who saw boxing as an opportunity to provide those of need in Collier County a safe environment to train and receive support while building the skills necessary to achieve goals in life. Billy, Jessica and the Eastside Boxing Team utilize their personal time and efforts to create a program that focuses on an individual’s goals and needs for Collier County residents. The organization is not only a Boxing Club, but also a community of support built through individual attention, group dynamics, targeted training, idea sharing, and the expertise of our team members.

Billy Lyell was born in the Youngstown area and began boxing at 11 years old. After over 80 amateur bouts, Billy turned professional at 18 years of age. Billy’s boxing careers spanned nearly a decade and saw him fight top competition throughout the world and challenge for the IBF World Title in Germany. Through Billy Lyell’s boxing career, he took the young boxers of Youngstown under his wing, trying to be a role model both inside and outside the ring. When opening his own boxing gym, Billy made it clear that he wanted his gym to benefit the people of the community that need it most. It was with this passion that Eastside Boxing was founded.

Jessica has always had a passion for giving back through nonprofit work. After learning about the Rock Steady program, she was determined to go to Indianapolis for training and bring this unique program to East Naples. She recognizes that those with Parkinson's already bare significant medical burdens. We hope to cover those additional expenses to Rock Steady is available to everyone in need.

The Mission of Eastside Boxing is to provide youth through seniors a clean, safe, motivating and positive training environment. We use boxing as an avenue to teach members self worth, respect, and how to be a positive member of society.

· We offer scholarship programs for our USA Amateur Boxing Program.

·We give people with Parkinson’s Disease an opportunity to fight back with Rock Steady Boxing through partial and full scholarships.

·We offer self defense programs for young women of Collier County.

**Donations to Eastside Boxing Club will provide scholarships so youth and people with Parkinson's Disease can attend these programs with zero financial burden. Funds raised will also go toward free self defense workshops, travel expenses for our USA Amateur Program, insurance fees for each boxers, and individual equipment.
