Volunteering Trip to Fiji

In July of this summer (2019), I will travelling to Fiji as a volunteer alongside ThinkPacific to educate young children in basic English and coaching them in extracurricular sporting activities. During this time, I will be hosted by a Fijian family and immersing myself in their culture, an experience which I am extremely grateful and excited for. The money I raise for this project will go towards project costs such as accommodation, food, school supplies and teacher training. I look forward to this opportunity as I have never participated in something like this before...I have never even been out of Europe! By challenging myself in this way I hope to become more of a global citizen, doing something out of my comfort zone in order to help others. Since the first project in 2009, ThinkPacific has helped over 20,000 Fijian children access better education, their reputation becoming well-known throughout Fiji as the communities await our arrival. I deem myself privileged to have accessed such a wide range of sports and education. In the short time I am there, I aim to help the kids reach their full potential whether that be in the classroom or out. I play hockey myself and I hope to coach them in that whilst I am there. Any donations are hugely appreciated, no donation being too small!
